PVChem provides DQS with oil tanks cleansing service

In the context of a prolonged Covid-19 pandemic and service supply chain disruption, the cooperation between PVChem and DQS is a positive move towards the policy of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in creating and developing a joint service value chain in the oil and gas industry.

Being put into operation in 2013, the Scanjet cleaning system was invested by PVChem with a total value of nearly VND 100 billion, using advanced American equipment and technology to clean oil tanks/ tankers. Since 2013, PVChem has used Scanjet for various oil tanks/tankers cleaning projects.

PV Chem and DQS have studied the use of Scanjet to clean oil tanks of oil tankers in high temperature conditions, successfully tested on FSO Galilean 7 (350,000 tons) delivering a high efficiency, short in time, safe in work, and low in cost compared to traditional methods.
 

DQS Deputy General Director Luong Minh Hai said that the two sides agreed to sign the contract to cooperate in oil tanks/tankers cleaning services using PVChem Scanjet and looking forward to a further cooperation in the near future.

PVChem Chairman Truong Dai Nghia said, the use of modern and high technology in the field of cleaning oil tanks of oil tankers in high temperature conditions not only helps DQS save time, costs, and improve the service efficiency but also opens new business opportunities for PVChem, conforming with the policy of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to create and develop a joint value chain in the Vietnam oil and gas industry.
 

Cleaning services (for industrial equipment, vehicles, structures, etc.) and environmental treatment – PVChem core business performed by the Industrial Technical Services Branch (PVChem-ITS) – have been provided to various major clients such as Dung Quat Refinery, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemicals LLC, Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant.
