DMC-RT has gradually asserted itself in the new service field

Monitoring, controlling and protecting anti – corrosion have been always difficult problems and essential requirements to improve the service life of construction works in general and petroleum works in particular. Grasping the high demand of customers in this field, since the early 2016, DMC – RT Branch has concentrated on enhancing the research of modern solutions and technology, training professional officials with the aim of supplying services in this potential field.

DMC – RT Branch’s efforts have been paid off when contracts have constantly been signed since the early months such as: Maintaining Cathode protection system for Phu My Fertilizer Plant; Repairing anti – corrosion system of B09, B10 tanks and surveying the status of cathode protection system for underground pipeline 8/10 at Eastern PVOil of PVOIL; Designing, supplying materials, equipment, constructing, installing, and testing electrochemical anti- corrosion system protecting inside and outside the pipeline for sea cooling discharged pipeline system of Expanded Coastal Thermal 3 Project of VINAINCON, TraVinh Province, and so on. DMC – RT has received positive feedbacks from customers.
Following these success, in the last early May, DMC – RT continually received the scientific research “Evaluating the erosion of Bach Ho – Dinh Co gas pipeline and proposing solutions to anti – corrosion”. The specific work section of DMC – RT Branch in this research is to evaluate the corrosion status of Bach Ho – Dinh Co gas pipeline and effects on operation safety of pipeline system when adding new gas line as well as proposing specific anti – corrosion solutions through stimulated testing methods in the lab, stimulations by modern software and measurements on site.

Generally speaking, these are just initial achievements to affirm the right direction of DMC – RT Branch in choosing to develop monitoring and controlling anti- corrosion service field. In the next period, not only meeting the demands of customers in the petroleum industry, DMC – RT will also expand actively and develop services for customers in other industries, contributing to meet maximally the customers’ requirements in this potential field.
