Silica flour DMC® is high-purity quartz sand ground to an appropriate particlesize for the purpose of use.

Application
Silica Flour DMC® is used to stabilize the physical properties (strength, permeability, erosion) of cement stone working at temperature higher than 110ºC. In some cases, Silica Flour DMC® is used to reduce the density of slurries and save cement.
Silica flour DMC® is usually mixed dry with cement to get a cement mixture containing 30 - 50% Silica flour DMC® by weight. In most cases, 35% of Silica flour DMC® by weight is considered optimal.
